Choosing somewhere to visit on vacation is never an easy decision. You’ll spend time searching for the right place to suit everyone that will be going, and unless you all have similar tastes, someone will have a preference that differs from yours. When traveling with kids, however, this decision gets even more complicated as you’ll also have to ensure that whichever options you choose are suitable for them and that they’ll have a good time. Dubai is one of those places that simply works for everyone, especially those traveling with their young family. Here is a selection of great, family-friendly activities that you can enjoy during your Dubai vacation.

Check Out The Desert

Dubai is situated in the desert, and while this environment can be unforgiving, the locals have managed to tame this area and develop some extremely fun and family-friendly activities here. You could try out many activities in Dubai’s desert, including riding dune buggies, quadbikes, or camels. There are a number of fun desert safari tours you can take, too, which offer a selection of these activities, varying in intensity. Dune bashing, for example, will see you speeding around the soft sands in a 4×4 with a trained professional driver, and what’s more, there is no specific age limit. This thrilling experience is not too dissimilar from a roller coaster and is a great way to get the blood pumping in a safe environment.

Visit The Pointe

Across the city, you’ll find a number of dedicated areas specifically created to maximize the enjoyment of guests and provide the widest range of entertainment and amenities possible. One such place is The Pointe, located at the end of Palm Jumeirah Road. Situated within the incredible man-made island of Palm Jumeirah, The Pointe offers a plethora of wonders, including exquisite foods to enjoy as a family, shopping experiences that suit everyone, and also fun and exciting activities including tennis, kid’s play areas, and a cinema to catch the latest summer blockbusters.

Try Out Some Water Sports

Being situated on the calm waters of the Arabian Gulf, there are many amazing opportunities for some fun water sports activities. Jet skis, parasailing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and loads more activities are available around the Dubai coastline. If you’re looking for something less active yet still water-based, you could even try out a relaxing boat trip. Why not take a yacht tour along the coast, complete with a three-course meal? Or perhaps you’d like to head further out to search for dolphins and other types of marine life in the gulf? Whatever your speed, there is something out there for you.

Explore Museums And Aquariums

One activity that will surely be a hit for everyone is visiting some of the fascinating museums and other public exhibitions around the city. The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo is one such place that offers guests the chance to come face to face with some of the most amazing creatures found in the world’s oceans. As well as visiting the aquarium, you’ll also find some other great family-friendly destinations, such as the Museum of Illusions, the OliOli children’s museum, and the Etihad Museum, which offers insight into the history of Dubai and the UAE itself.
